This week has been a very special week at MPS! We have some amazing students at our school who have been working hard to conquer their fears. A couple of students are a little afraid of dogs and three students this week showed their bravery by working with me.
Lillian and Bella from 1/2ML have been working hard to get used to me being around them in their classroom and this week they were so courageous that they invited me to their room so they could read to me. They read a beautiful story called ‘Amazing Dogs with Amazing Jobs’. By the end of their reading they were hugging me and feeding me. They told me I can come back and visit them any time!
Arthur from 5/6M has also worked hard to feel more comfortable around me this week. He was brave enough to pat me a lot and even fed me and helped the teachers to walk me. Doing something that scares you takes courage and these students showed persistence and resilience. I am so proud of you all!
Grandparents Day was a special day yesterday and I loved getting to meet so many grandparents, parents and families around the school yesterday. The day was so lovely and fun!
Thanks for spending the week with me!
Love Nellie
