Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Maitland Public School - a proud part of the Maitland community for over 150 years. As a heritage-listed school, we honour our rich history while providing a modern, high-quality education for every student.

We are committed to helping all students succeed in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Our experienced and caring staff work closely with to support and extend students to build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while encouraging creativity, confidence and a love of learning. These include our school band, dance groups, STEM learning, and a High Potential program that challenges students to think critically and explore their strengths.

Our core values - respect, responsibilities and personal best - are at the heart of everything we do. They guide how we learn, interact, and grow as a school community. We also value strong partnerships with families, knowing that working together leads to the best outcomes for our students.

I look forward to partnering with you and your child on their educational journey.”
