Nellie and Kinder Orientation

We have had lots of visitors to our school this week. Kindergarten Orientation is in full swing and I have enjoyed meeting lots of our new students. On Thursday, I got to spend some time with them and their parents and carers. We also had a visit from on of our local preschools - Maitland Community Preschool - to help transition or new students to ‘big school’. We had lots of fun playing on the equipment and listening to our fabulous school band!

This week I also had a lovely visit to 1/2ML. We did lots of reading, writing and activities in Literacy Groups. So many students wrote lovely stories about me and I loved listening to them read.

I spent some time with Miss McDonald and 4/5C on Thursday – we got to do papier mache in the art room! The students were very good at keeping me away from all of the mess!

I also visited 1/2W and discovered that Miss Willcox has a very comfortable chair that is perfect for my naps! The hot weather has been quite exhausting and I have been needing some extra naps. If only I could go to the pool with Stages 2 and 3 for swimming each week!
